Happy 30th Birthday

Hey dude...Happy 30th Birthday...you can tell you've made it when your birthday present is a blog. Forget Facebook. Here's the place to be to really tell the world what you think!

Here's over to you, to make the world a better place.

But before you attempt that...here's a reminder of your world so far...

The life & times of Thomas Richard Stacey Brinson

Thomas Richard Stacey Frederick Louise Francis Brinson was born in Camarthen Wales to Thomas and Sandra Brinson on 11 September 1977, the year of the Queen's Jubilee.

According to Wikipedia, nothing else of any interest happened that day in 1977. We are currently awaiting acceptance from Wiki publishers to add this historic moment to their listing.

Always keen on cars, it was great importance to Richard to get his first set of wheels as soon as he could walk.

Being a born entrepreneur, he quickly agreed a sponsorship deal with a local company and was happy driving around with a advertising logo.

It is only now he regrets being sponsored by Chubby.

Having secured the sponsorship deal, Richard now had his transport for his next entrepreneurial idea...children's seaside entertainment.

As many children are scared of clowns this idea did not take off...so Richard was already thinking about his next move...

Richard decided to take advantage of his locality and set up the first ever Welsh freelance shepherd agency. His sister Vicki was roped in to help, not entirely convinced it was her intended path she decided to stick by her brother anyway.

Careful planning went into the company branding. The uniform was deliberately selected to provide a traditional image that customers would trust. The same level of consideration went into the service provision and he ensured that everyone working for the agency had been trained in the latest security systems.

Richard also spotted a gap in the market to save old sheep, who were on their last legs. Such sheep were either too old for the meat market or had wool too wiry for the clothing industry. However Richard could see that they still had a value and offered a sheep brokerage service, buying old sheep and selling them to children's farms where they could provide a useful service until the end of their life! The farmers were ecstatic because they saved money on slaughter fees and the owners of the children's farms were happy as the old sheep were cheaper than the younger models. What a win win situation. Richard was definitely onto something here!

With the business growing in the right direction, Richard took advantage of his rising income and went on his first skiing holiday. Whilst on the piste, he had a brainwave and thought that he could diversify his interests.

By the end of his holiday, he had become the proud owner of a ski instructor business. Hiring ski-instructors and shepherds had a lot of similarities in their business models, so this would be a breeze!

He even thought of the benefits of using his instructors to teach sheep to ski. For more details about how this idea would work, click here.

The market was bigger than Richard had ever imagined and soon his sheep-ski-instructor business took off and with many groups from Wales taking advantage of his company's services.

Richard knew he had made it when he was approached by the directors of an international jet-ski business, with headquarters in Hawaii.

They could see the appeal of sheep-skiing holidays and it was obvious to them that they could apply this level of genius to their jet-ski proposition.

Richard couldn't believe his luck when they offered him a hefty sum to buy his business outright. The first thing he did was get a fab new hairstyle.

Richard returned home, embraced his good fortune and took advantage of very early retirement.

He pondered his next move.

He hadn't got used to his curly hair so quickly got it cut!

He then considered investing in the novelty sock market but after testing out a few pairs, he decided against it.

He knew he should plan for something bigger. By the age of 30, he wanted to be part of something huge.

and he was....

After indulging in a short(ish) retirement, he bought a flash castle in Wales...and now rents it out to a local tourist board for the benefit of the local people. He threw a fab party to celebrate his wedding to the most beautiful girl he had ever met.

He has now settled in a little village on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds and enjoys life with his family of two beautiful little boys.

Ever the entrepreneur, he and his wife set up in business together and Richard is applying his skills from his shepherd agency days to his computer brokerage business.

After a successful career already behind him, Richard was last seen pondering a serious move into ladies fashions.

He attended Ladies Day at the Newmarket Races to conduct some significant research for his new business:

Already life is looking more colourful. Good luck Rich and congratulations on all your achievements so far!
